E85 Golf R

Recently had the opportunity to spend some time out in Detroit, so naturally what does one do in the Motor City. Take pictures of a Volkswagen Golf R.

At first this might just look like a regular Golf R, but this one is a bit unique, at least to me since it has a tune and runs on E85, the Midwest's finest.

Decided out to go to Belle Isle to take some photos of this car, and along the way my friend let the horses under the hood run a bit. Which blew me away a hatchback with a 4-cylinder could with minimal mods could push you back in its seat like this car did. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn this car also had launch control, can't say the same for the BMW who also realized we had launch control.

We were lucky that sunset wasn't until after 9pm, which gave us plenty of time to make the drive out to Belle Isle from the city. Wish we had more time to check out a few more locations, but had the opportunity to also try my hand at some panning shots. Which turned out fairly good for not having taken very many of those kind of photos before.
